Hello, I’m Jade, the founder of Kitty Grid.

If you have an indoor cat, you’ll probably know the worry that comes with opening a window. You want to let fresh air into your home, but you also don’t want your curious cat squeezing through a gap, climbing onto a windowsill or accidentally falling from an open window.

That was exactly the problem I had when I first brought my cat, Toffee, home.

Toffee is an indoor cat, and because we live near a busy road, I was particularly worried about him getting out. I wanted to be able to open my windows and enjoy fresh air without constantly worrying about where he was. I couldn't find a solution that worked for what I needed, so I decided to make one myself!

How Kitty Grid started

That’s where the idea for Kitty Grid began. The aim was to create a practical solution that could be fitted to a wide range of windows, without drilling, permanent fixings or complicated installation.

Kitty Grid is a custom cat window screen, designed to create a secure barrier while still allowing fresh air to circulate through your home.

The mesh also helps keep unwanted insects such as flies and mosquitoes outside, making it useful for more than just cat safety.

Every Kitty Grid screen is made to measure in the UK, because windows aren't one-size-fits-all.

Whether you have a small bedroom window or a larger living room window, your screen can be made to your measurements for a discreet and practical fit. As there's no drilling or permanent fixtures required, this makes Kitty Grid a practical option for both homeowners and renters.

Every Kitty Grid is made by hand in the UK by me, Jade.

From cutting the mesh to preparing your custom-sized screen, each order is made specifically for your window. I care about making something that is not only functional, but also simple to install and unobtrusive in your home, whilst providing outstanding customer service.

What started as a solution for my own cat has grown into Kitty Grid – a small UK business helping other cat owners make their homes safer and more comfortable.
